Empty Leg Availability (ELA) Deals

Empty legs are the unsold segments (routes) on an aircraft be it private jets, commercial flight, or cargo flight. For example, an aircraft is chartered one-way from London to Russia and then the plane must be repositioned to Amsterdam for its next chartered job. The segment from Russia to Amsterdam is known as an "empty leg" as there is no paying customer on the flight. These non-revenue generating flights typically come at a steep discount - up to 50% off the normal charter prices.
